OUR STORY

A family owned and operated sawmill in south east Queensland, Howard Sawmill is located approximately 30kms north of Hervey Bay. Founded in the 1950s and purchased by Paul and Sue Deakin in the year 2000, Howard Sawmill is now proudly the largest employer in the region.
Howard Sawmill is a specialised board mill supplying the highest grade Spotted Gum, Forest Red Gum, Blackbutt and Iron Bark tongue and groove flooring, overlay flooring, decking, cladding and kiln-dried rough sawn products.

We are continually fine tuning our skills in the art of sawmilling, dressing and kiln drying our precious resource for the manufacture of floorings and linings. We are constantly improving our techniques in our production and systems to stay at the top and become the preferred supplier of this world class timber.

Howard Sawmill has recently obtained Australian Forestry Standard Chain of Custody* and is an Australian Timber Flooring Association accredited manufacturer. We are audited on an annual basis to ensure only the highest standard of process and product.
